The 4DOS command processor for MS-DOS

4dos, batch commands, grub 4 dos, dos 4, ms dos 4

Re: Doesn't 4dos multitask ?

It sounds to me like you need to check the
short cut which launches 4DOS. Right click on
your short cut, go to properties and make sure
that you do not have "Suspend In Background"
checked off. And you might want to play around
with the idle sensitivity gauge.

Hope I helped.

    Right, you are *thinking* wrong.
4DOS is a DOS executable and is
prioritized as such — I suspect
    whatever program is doing your
"packing process" is also a DOS
utility, and because of the way
DOS works it is this utility
    that has control, not 4DOS,
    which has launched the utility
and is dormant while the utility
    is running.
